Grace’s perfectly imperfect gathering of book lovers meets online on the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM. We discuss a book chosen by a member. All are welcome.

We will gather again on Wednesday, October 28 to discuss Samantha Harvey’s Orbital. Selected as the One Book, One Chicago for 2026, this slender yet powerful novel captures one day in the lives of six women and men on the last space station mission of its kind. These astronauts and cosmonauts—from America, Russia, Italy, Britain, and Japan—have left their lives behind to travel at a speed of over seventeen thousand miles an hour as the earth reels below.

You can purchase a copy of Orbital across the street from Grace at Sandmeyer’s Bookstore, or your favorite bookstore. Copies are also available at your local library.
